How long does a session take?
Each Laser Genesis® session typically takes around 30 minutes from start to finish. While treatments are generally quick, session times vary depending on the extent of your skin needs and the areas that are being treated. While facial treatments typically take around 30 minutes, adding areas such as the neck and chest may extend the appointment to approximately 45 minutes. At Hamilton Aesthetics, our team is devoted to providing quality care while also being efficient and mindful of your time.
What does a Laser Genesis® session entail?
Prior to beginning treatment with Laser Genesis®, you’ll have a consultation with our team to discuss your individual skin needs, treatment areas, and desired goals.
At the start of each session, your provider will begin by gently cleansing the treatment area to remove any makeup, sunscreen, or skincare products. Once your skin is prepped, the provider will glide the laser handpiece over the desired area(s), delivering a gentle, controlled heat to the upper layer of your skin. Laser Genesis® does not include any zapping, stinging, or burning sensations; instead, you’ll feel a warm, soothing sensation.
After your session, your skin may feel flushed and appear slightly pink, which is normal. It’s recommended that you allow your skin to breathe and recover for the first few hours after your treatment. Most clients report feeling immediately refreshed after their treatment, noting that their skin feels smoother and tighter.

No, Laser Genesis® is virtually painless. Most clients describe their sessions as relaxing and comfortable.
